The Intensive Program

Unless you fix the trauma…the hole in the soul…where the wounds started, you’re working at the wrong thing…

- Oprah Winfrey

The program at One Elm is designed to heal. It is a fully inclusive Private Intensive Experience of personalized care. At One Elm we take only one case at a time - an individual, couple or closely connected small group.

We believe that consistent struggles in life almost always point back to unresolved childhood developmental trauma - the hole in the soul. At One Elm those seeking healthier relationships with themselves or others can begin to find resolution of problems often thought of as complicated and unworkable. Life struggles in adulthood can be rooted in acquired youthful survival strategies that are destructive in adulthood and no longer needed. The program at One Elm examines old patterns that can be recognized, released and replaced with tools that work.

At One Elm we recognize that unresolved developmental trauma can manifest as symptoms of anxiety, depression, and a myriad of addictions including work, sex, love, gaming, gambling, exercising, excessive shopping and technology. Issues addressed at One Elm may include relationship problems, whether romantic, workplace, family-of-origin or parental, narcissistic abuse, codependency and persistent non-crisis level behavioral or process addictions.
